The present invention provides a female terminal fitting (20) to be crimped onto a wire comprising a core (12) formed by joining a plurality of wire strands (11) together, the terminal fitting being provided with: a bottom plate section (22) upon which the core (12) is to be placed; and a pair of barrel pieces (25L, 25R) that are interconnected to the bottom plate section (22) so as to wrap around the core (12) placed on the bottom plate section (22), said barrel pieces to be crimped onto the core (12). Thin sections (27) are formed on the butt portions of the barrel pieces (25L, 25R), and the thin sections (27) deform when the crimping pieces (25L, 25R) are crimped onto the core (12), resulting in the formation of corner sections (30). Since the thin sections (27) preferentially deform upon crimping and corner sections (30) are formed therefrom, the gaps formed at the butt portions of the barrel pieces (25L, 25R) can be made smaller in comparison to when there are no thin sections (27).

La présente invention a trait à une garniture de borne femelle (20) à faire sertir sur un fil comportant un corps (12) formé en joignant une pluralité de torons de fil (11) ensemble, ladite garniture de borne étant munie de : une section de fond constituée par une plaque (22) sur laquelle le corps (12) est à placer ; et une paire de pièces de barillet (25L, 25R) qui sont interconnectées à la section de fond constituée par une plaque (22) de manière à envelopper le corps (12) placé sur la section de fond constituée par une plaque (22), lesdites pièces de barillet à faire sertir sur le corps (12). Des sections fines (27) se forment sur les parties manches des pièces de barillet (25L, 25R) et les sections fines (27) se déforment lorsque les pièces de sertissage (25L, 25R) sont serties sur le corps (12) qui provoquent la formation de sections d'angle (30). Puisque les sections fines (27) se déforment préférentiellement sous le sertissage et les sections d'angle (30) sont formées de là, les écarts formés au niveau des parties manches des pièces de barillet (25L, 25R) peuvent être rendus plus petits que s'il n'a pas de sections fines (27).

本発明は、複数の素線(11)が合わされた芯線(12)を有する電線に圧着される雌端子金具(20)であって、芯線(12)が載置される底板部(22)と、底板部(22)に載置される芯線(12)を包むように同底板部(22)に連設されて同芯線(12)に圧着される一対のバレル片(25L,25R)と、を備え、各バレル片(25L,25R)の突き合わせ部分に薄肉部(27)が形成されており、各圧着片(25L,25R)が芯線(12)に圧着されたときに薄肉部(27)が変形することで角部(30)が形成されている構成としたところに特徴を有する。このような構成によると、圧着によって薄肉部(27)が優先的に変形することで角部(30)が形成されるため、薄肉部(27)がないとした場合よりも各バレル片(25L,25R)の突き合わせ部分に形成される隙間を小さくすることができる。
