(EN) Provided is an inorganic fiber that suppresses effects on the human body and living environments, exhibits high biosolubility, and also exhibits excellent heat resistance as a constituent material for filter materials, sealing materials, and the like. The inorganic fiber is characterized by containing 30% by mass to less than 81% by mass by mass Al2O3, greater than 19% by mass to 65% by mass MgO, and 0 - 40% by mass SiO2 and the proportion of the Al2O3, MgO, and SiO2 content in the fiber as a whole being 98% by mass or greater.
(FR) L'invention concerne des fibres inorganiques qui réduisent des effets sur le corps humain et sur l'environnement, qui présentent une biosolubilité élevée, ainsi qu'une excellente résistance à la chaleur en tant que matière constitutive de matériaux filtrants, de matériaux d'étanchéité et autres. Les fibres inorganiques sont caractérisées en ce qu'elles contiennent 30 % en masse à moins de 81 % en masse d'Al2O3, plus de 19 % en masse à 65 % en masse de MgO et de 0 à 40 % en masse de SiO2, la proportion de la teneur en Al2O3, MgO et SiO2 dans les fibres dans leur ensemble étant de 98 % en masse ou plus.
