A method for detecting the pressure difference across a DPF and a device for detecting the pressure difference across the DPF accurately determine the timing of the regeneration on the basis of the amount of accumulation of PM. When the vehicle is in a state in which there is no fuel supply to the internal combustion engine (10), the exhaust pipe (2) is closed at a position upstream of a DPF (3), the exhaust gas is bypassed to a position downstream of the DPF (3) from a position upstream of the position at which the exhaust pipe (2) is closed, air is caused to flow from a positive pressure pump (6) to a position between the DPF (3) and the position at which the exhaust pipe (2) is closed, and the pressure difference across the DPF (3) is detected.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de détection de la différence de pression de part et d'autre d'un filtre à particules diesel et sur un dispositif pour détecter la différence de pression de part et d'autre du filtre à particules diesel, lesquels déterminent avec précision la temporisation de la régénération sur la base de la quantité d'accumulation de matières particulaires. Lorsque le véhicule est dans un état dans lequel il n'y a pas d'alimentation en carburant vers le moteur à combustion interne (10), le tuyau d'échappement (2) est formé à une position en amont d'un filtre à particules diesel (3), les gaz d'échappement sont dérivés vers une position en aval du filtre à particules diesel (3) à partir d'une position en amont de la position dans laquelle le tuyau d'échappement (2) est fermé, de l'air est amené à s'écouler à partir d'une pompe à pression positive (6) vers une position entre le filtre à particules diesel (3) et la position dans laquelle le tuyau d'échappement (2) est fermé, et la différence de pression de part et d'autre du filtre à particules diesel (3) est détectée.
