Provided is a liquid crystal display device wherein: a first auxiliary capacitance trunk line (430) provided conventionally is formed to have a narrow width; and, further, a second auxiliary capacitance trunk line (440) is newly provided, which is arranged in a location that is the nearest to the outer edge portion of a substrate. This configuration makes it possible to avoid a frame region as a whole from increasing, and to separate a shift register from the outer edge portion of the substrate, whereby the outside of the shift register is prevented from being covered by a sealing material. Further, the area of regions covered by the sealing material is reduced in regions of lines through which signals are supplied to the shift register.

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides. Une première ligne principale de capacité auxiliaire (430) fournie de façon classique est formée de façon à avoir une largeur étroite; et, en outre, on utilise à présent une seconde ligne principale de capacité auxiliaire (440) qui est disposée à un emplacement qui est le plus proche de la partie de bord externe d'un substrat. Cette configuration permet d'éviter l'augmentation dans son ensemble d'une région de cadre et de séparer un registre à décalage de la partie de bord externe du substrat, l'extérieur du registre à décalage ne pouvant pas être recouvert par un matériau de scellement. En outre, la partie des régions recouverte par le matériau de scellement est réduite dans des régions linéaires au moyen desquelles des signaux sont transmis au registre à décalage.

 本液晶表示装置では、従来の第1の補助容量幹配線(430)の幅を細く形成し、さらに第2の補助容量幹配線(440)を新たに設け、これを基板の外縁部に最も近い位置に配置する。このことにより全体として額縁領域を増加させることなく、かつシフトレジスタを基板の外縁部から離すことができるのでシフトレジスタ上がシール材で覆われることがない。さらにシフトレジスタへ信号を与える配線領域のうちシール材で覆われる領域の面積も低減される。
