Provided is a method for welding steel plates, by which two steel plates can be reliably welded. Specifically provided is a method for welding steel plates, in which a first steel plate (10) and a second steel plate (20) are welded while a first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10) and a second end edge (21) of the second steel plate (20) are butted, the method being provided with a first cutting step (S1) for cutting the first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10) in such a manner that the central portion (11c) of the first end edge (11) is located on the slightly inner side from one end (11a) and the other end (11b) thereof, a butting step (S3) for butting the second end edge (21) of the second steel plate (20) to the first end edge (11) of the first steel plate (10), which is cut in the first cut step (S1), and a welding step (S4) for continuously performing welding from the one end (60a) side to the other end (60b) side of a butt portion (60) between the first end edge (11) and the second end edge (21).

L'invention porte sur un procédé de soudage de plaques en acier, au moyen duquel on peut souder les plaques en acier de manière fiable. L'invention porte de manière spécifique sur un procédé de soudage d'une plaque en acier, dans lequel on soude une première plaque en acier (10) et une seconde plaque en acier (20) en mettant bout à bout un premier bord d'extrémité (11) de la première plaque en acier (10) et un second bord d'extrémité (21) de la seconde plaque en acier (20), le procédé comportant une première étape de coupe (S1) destinée à couper le premier bord d'extrémité (11) de la première plaque en acier (10) de façon à ce que la partie centrale (11c) du premier bord d'extrémité (11) soit disposée sur le côté légèrement intérieur à partir d'une extrémité (11a) vers l'autre extrémité (11b) de celle-ci, une étape de mise en bout à bout (S3) destinée à mettre bout à bout le second bord d'extrémité (21) de la seconde plaque en acier (20) sur le premier bord d'extrémité (11) de la première plaque en acier (10) coupée dans la première étape de coupe (S1), une étape de soudage (S4) destinée à réaliser une soudure continue du premier côté d'extrémité (60a) à l'autre côté d'extrémité (60b) d'une partie mise bout à bout (60) entre le premier bord d'extrémité (11) et le second bord d'extrémité (21).
