Provided are a polyoxyalkylene polyol and a polyoxyalkylene monool, with which a urethane elastomer and a urethane foam having sufficiently excellent mechanical properties and moisture resistance can be produced. The polyoxyalkylene polyol or monool (S) is an alkylene oxide adduct of an active hydrogen-containing compound (H), wherein not less than 40% of the hydroxy group located at the terminal is a primary hydroxy group-containing group represented by general formula (1) and a hydroxy group value (x), the total degree of unsaturation (y), and the content of ethylene oxide (z) satisfy the relationship represented by mathematical formula (1): y ≤ 28.3 × x-2 × (100-z)/100. In general formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group, or a phenyl group, each of which may be substituted by a halogen atom or an aryl group. In mathematical formula (1), x represents a hydroxy group value; y represents the total degree of unsaturation; and z represents the content of ethylene oxide with respect to the weight of (S) and is from 0 to 50% by weight.

La présente invention concerne un polyoxyalkylène-polyol et un polyoxyalkylène-monool, avec lesquels un élastomère d'uréthane et une mousse d'uréthane ayant des propriétés mécaniques et une résistance à l'humidité excellentes peut être produit. Le polyoxyalkylène-polyol ou monool (S) est un produit d'addition d'oxyde d'alkylène d'un composé contenant un hydrogène actif (H), dans lequel pas moins de 40 % du groupe hydroxy situé à la terminaison est un groupe contenant un groupe hydroxy primaire représenté par la formule générale (1) et un indice de groupe hydroxy (x), le degré total d'insaturation (y), et la teneur en oxyde d'éthylène (z) satisfont à la relation représentée par la formule mathématique (1) : y ≤ 28,3 × x-2 × (100-z)/100.
