Provided is broadcast reception terminal (1) capable of receiving character-multiplexed broadcasts and which is equipped with a program-related information acquisition unit (16) which extracts character information related to a program from a character-multiplexed broadcast signal for a program indicated by a specify program operation when the specify program operation instructing the creation of program information is received from a user, and an XHTML generating unit (17) which renders program information, which is information pertaining to the program, using a markup language. When the program information rendered in the markup language is generated, the program information is transmitted to a program information management server (2), which is a server for managing the program information rendered in the markup language.
