Disclosed is an organic thin film solar cell having a novel photoelectric conversion layer which is excellent in the conversion efficiency from light to electricity and property of transporting carriers to an electrode. The photoelectric conversion layer is interposed between a pair of electrodes at least one of which transmits light, and contains a multilayer film obtained by alternately arranging electron-donating organic semiconductor thin films and electron-receiving thin films. The electron-donating organic semiconductor thin films are composed of organic semiconductor molecules wherein cyclic compounds are bonded linearly.

La présente invention concerne une cellule solaire de film mince organique ayant une nouvelle couche de conversion photoélectrique, présentant une excellente efficacité de conversion de la lumière en électricité et une excellente propriété pour transporter des vecteurs vers une électrode. La couche de conversion photoélectrique est interposée entre une paire d'électrodes dont au moins une transmet la lumière et contient un film multicouche obtenu en agençant de manière alternative des films minces organiques à semi-conducteurs cédant des électrons et des films minces recevant les électrons. Les films minces organiques à semi-conducteurs cédant des électrons sont composés de molécules à semi-conducteurs organiques, dans lesquels les composés cycliques sont liés de manière linéaire.
