A bearing device for a wheel, in which contradictory problems of weight-lightness/compactness and high rigidity are simultaneously solved and strength and durability are increased. The bearing device for a wheel is of a second generation structure, which has a double-row rolling bodies and where inner rings (5, 6) are fixed by rocking die swaging. Out of the double-row rolling bodies, the rolling bodies on the outer side are balls (9) and the rolling bodies on the inner side are conical rollers (10). Because the basic rated load of the portion where the row of the conical rollers (10) on the inner side is placed is set higher than that of the portion where the row of the balls (9) on the outer side is placed, the rigidity of the inner rolling body row is high. Also, even if a load applied to the inner rolling body row is higher than a load applied to the outer rolling body row, the lifetime of the bearing device is maintained or extended.

Dispositif de roulement pour une roue, dans lequel des problèmes contradictoires de légèreté/compacité et de rigidité élevée sont résolus simultanément et dont la robustesse et la durabilité sont augmentées. Le dispositif de roulement pour une roue a une structure de seconde génération, qui comporte des éléments roulants en double rangée et des bagues intérieures (5, 6) fixées par retreinte à la filière à bascule. Parmi la double rangée d'éléments roulants, les éléments roulants du côté extérieur sont des billes (9) et les éléments roulants du côté intérieur sont des rouleaux coniques (10). Parce que la charge nominale de base de la partie où est située la rangée de rouleaux coniques (10) du côté intérieur s'établit à une valeur plus élevée que celle de la partie où est située la rangée de billes (9) du côté extérieur, la rigidité de la rangée d'éléments roulants intérieure est élevée. Ainsi, même si une charge appliquée à la rangée d'éléments roulants intérieure est plus élevée qu'une charge appliquée à la rangée d'éléments roulants extérieure, la durée de vie du dispositif de roulement est conservée ou étendue.
