A coordination metal compound comprising at least one spiro-bond-having ligand coordinated to a metal atom; a material for organic electroluminescence (EL) device; and an organic EL device comprising a negative electrode and a positive electrode and, interposed therebetween, one or multiple organic thin-film layers including at least a light emitting layer, wherein at least one of the organic thin-film layers contains the above coordination metal compound or material for organic EL device. There are further provided a material for luminescent coating formation comprising an organic solvent solution containing the above coordination metal compound or material for organic EL device; and an organic EL device produced from the above material for luminescent coating formation or material for organic EL device, which organic EL device realizes high luminous efficiency and high stability during high temperature storage. Still further, there are provided, ensuring realization of the above and excelling in solubility in organic solvents, a coordination metal compound, material for organic EL device and material for luminescent coating formation.

Un composé de métal de coordination comprenant au moins un ligand porteur de liaison spirale coordonné à un atome de métal; un matériau pour dispositif organique à électroluminescence (EL); et un dispositif organique à électroluminescence comprenant une cathode et une anode entre lesquelles s'intercale au moins une couche organique en film mince comprenant au moins une couche photoémettrice, l'une au moins des couches organiques en film mince contenant ledit composé de métal de coordination ou matériau pour dispositif organique à électroluminescence. L'invention concerne également un matériau pour la formation de couches luminescentes comprenant une solution de solvant organique contenant ledit composé de métal de coordination ou matériau pour dispositif organique à électroluminescence; et un dispositif organique à électroluminescence produit à partir dudit matériau pour formation de revêtement luminescent ou matériau pour dispositif organique à électroluminescence, lequel dispositif organique à électroluminescence réalise une haute efficacité lumineuse et une haute stabilité pendant le stockage à haute température. L'invention concerne enfin, garantissant la réalisation de ce qui précède et d'excellente solubilité dans les solvants organiques, un composé de métal de coordination, un matériau pour dispositif organique à électroluminescence, et un matériau pour formation d'un revêtement luminescent.
