A multilayer piezoelectric device with excellent durability is disclosed wherein the amount of displacement does not vary even when the multilayer piezoelectric device is continuously driven under high-voltage, high-pressure conditions for a long time. The multilayer piezoelectric device comprises a multilayer body composed of piezoelectric layers and internal electrodes alternately stacked upon one another and external electrodes respectively formed on a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface. One of every two adjoining internal electrodes is connected to the external electrode on the first lateral surface, while the other internal electrode is connected to the external electrode on the second lateral surface. The multilayer piezoelectric device contains an alkali metal in an amount of not less than 5 ppm and not more than 300 ppm.

L'invention concerne un dispositif piézoélectrique multicouche qui présente une excellente durabilité, le degré de déplacement ne variant pas même lorsque ce dispositif piézoélectrique multicouche est soumis de manière continue à des conditions de haute tension et de haute pression pendant une durée prolongée. Le dispositif piézoélectrique multicouche comprend un corps multicouche constitué par des couches piézoélectriques et des électrodes internes empilées en alternance les unes sur les autres et des électrodes externes formées respectivement sur une première surface latérale et une seconde surface latérale. Une électrode interne sur deux électrodes internes adjacentes est connectée à l'électrode externe sur la première surface latérale, l'autre électrode interne étant connectée à l'électrode externe sur la seconde surface latérale. Le dispositif piézoélectrique multicouche contient un métal alcalin en quantité supérieure ou égale à 5 ppm et inférieure ou égale à 300 ppm.
