An optical recording medium having favorable recording sensitivity and repetition recording characteristic is used for recording at high speed corresponding to the speed of a 3X to 10X (10 to 36 m/s) DVD. The optical recording medium is characterized in that on a transparent substrate at least a first protective layer, a phase-change recording layer whose maximum recording linear velocity is 10.0 m/s or more and where data is rewritable at least at any linear velocity between 10.0 to 36.0 m/s, a second protective layer, and a reflective layer of heat conductivity of 300 W/m·K or more are formed, and in that further a layer whose film thickness is between 0.5 and 8 nm and which is formed of a low heat-conductivity material having a heat conductivity of 7 W/m·K or less is interposed between the second protective layer and the reflective layer.

L'invention concerne un support d'enregistrement optique présentant une sensibilité d'enregistrement et une caractéristique d'enregistrement de répétition favorables, que l'on utilise pour enregistrer à une vitesse élevée correspondant à celle d'un DVD comprise entre 3X et 10X (10 et 36 m/s). Le support d'enregistrement optique se caractérise en ce que sur un substrat transparent sont formées au moins une première couche de protection, une couche d'enregistrement à changement de phase dont la vitesse linéaire d'enregistrement maximale est d'au moins 10,0 m/s et sur laquelle les données sont réinscriptibles au moins à n'importe quelle vitesse linéaire comprise entre 10,0 et 36,0 m/s, une seconde couche de protection, et une couche réfléchissante de conductivité thermique d'au moins 300 W/m.K; en outre, une couche ayant une épaisseur de film comprise entre 0,5 et 8 nm et formée d'un matériau de faible conductivité thermique, ayant une conductivité thermique n'excédant pas 7 W/m.K, est posée entre la seconde couche de protection et la couche réfléchissante.

 本発明は、記録感度が良好で、かつ繰り返し記録特性の良好なDVD3~10倍速(10m/s~36m/s)に相当する高速記録用の光記録媒体を提供することを目的とする。このため、透明基板上に少なくとも第一保護層と、最高記録線速が10.0m/s以上であり、10.0m/sから36.0m/sの間の少なくともいずれかの線速で書き換えが可能な相変化記録層と、第二保護層と、熱伝導率が300W/m・K以上の反射層とを有し、かつ、第二保護層と反射層との間に膜厚が0.5nm以上8nm以下であって、かつ熱伝導率が7W/m・K以下の低熱伝導率材料からなる層を設けたことを特徴とする光記録媒体である。
