A gas barrier multilayer body is disclosed which is composed of a plastic base (A), an inorganic thin film (B) formed on at least one surface of the plastic base (A), and a polyester resin film layer (C) formed by applying a coating material containing a polyester resin to the surface of the inorganic thin film (B). The polyester resin has a glass transition temperature of 50-70˚C, a molecular weight of 1,500-15,000, and a hydroxyl number of 10-60 mgKOH/g. The multilayer body has an oxygen permeability of not more than 5 cc/m2/day/atm and a water vapor permeability of not more than 5 g/m2/day. Consequently, the gas barrier multilayer body is excellent in printability (especially in tone printability), and the gas barrier property is not deteriorated even when the multilayer body has a print thereon. Further, the gas barrier multilayer body exhibits excellent adhesiveness between the plastic base (A) and the inorganic thin film (B) when retort processing is performed thereon.

L'invention concerne un corps multicouche perméable au gaz. Ledit corps est composé d'un support plastique (A), d'un film mince inorganique (B) formé sur au moins une surface du support plastique (A) et d'une couche de film de résine polyester (C) formée par application d'un matériau de revêtement contenant une résine polyester sur la surface du film mince inorganique (B). La résine polyester présente une température de transition vitreuse comprise entre 50 et 70 °C, un poids moléculaire compris entre 1500 et 15000, ainsi qu'un indice d'hydroxyle compris entre 10 et 60 mgKOH/g. Ledit corps multicouche présente une perméabilité à l'oxygène inférieure ou égale à 5 cc/m2/jour/atm et une perméabilité à la vapeur d'eau inférieure ou égale à 5 g/m2/jour. Par conséquent, ledit corps multicouche perméable au gaz est excellent en termes d'imprimabilité (notamment, d'imprimabilité de tonalités) et la propriété de perméabilité au gaz n'est pas détériorée même lorsque le corps multicouche est imprimé. De plus, ledit corps multicouche perméable au gaz présente une excellente adhésivité entre le support plastique (A) et le film mince inorganique (B) lorsqu'il est soumis à un traitement dans des cornues.
