A hot dip coated steel product comprising a steel product and, formed on the surface thereof, a Zn alloy coating layer having a chemical composition: Al: 4 to 22 mass %, Mg: 1 to 5 mass %, Ti: 0.000001 to 0.1 mass %, Si: 0.000001 to 0.5 mass %, and the balance: Zn and inevitable impurities, characterized in that the alloy coating layer has a structure wherein [Mg2Si phase], [Al phase], [Zn2Mg phase] and [Zn phase] are present in a base material of [Al/Zn/Zn2Mg ternary eutectic structure] in a state of being mixed with one another and wherein a Ti-Al based intermetallic compound is incorporated into [Al phase] and/or [Zn2Mg phase] and/or [Zn phase]. The hot dip coated steel product has high resistance to corrosion and further can achieve excellent surface smoothness and also excellent formability.

L'invention concerne un produit en acier à placage au trempé, qui comprend, outre l'acier, en surface, un revêtement d'alliage de Zn ayant la composition chimique suivante, en masse: Al, 4-22 %, Mg, 1-5 %, Ti, 0,000001-0,1 %, Si, 0,000001-0,5 %, et Zn avec impuretés inévitables pour le reste. Le revêtement a une structure dans laquelle [phase Mg2Si], [phase Al], [phase Zn2Mg] et [phase Zn] sont présentes dans un matériau de base de [structure eutectique ternaire Al/Zn/Zn2Mg] à l'état de mélange réciproque, sachant qu'un composé intermétallique Ti-Al est incorporé à la [phase Al] et/ou à la [phase Zn2Mg] et/ou à la [phase Zn].
