(EN) The present invention provides a scheme for merging television schedule information received from multiple sources (26, 28, 30 and 34). In the preferred embodiment, a microprocessor (36) mixes and sorts the schedule information received from multiple source devices (26, 28, 30 or 34). The schedule information is then displayed in a television schedule guide (50). A user can select a program (60 or 62) by pointing to that program in the displayed schedule information (50). The system (10) then carries out an automatic switching/tuning such that the required source device (26, 28, 30 or 34) is input to the destination device (22), and a tuner is then tuned to the selected programm's channel (52).
(FR) La présente invention décrit un système pour fusionner des informations de programmation télévisée reçues de sources multiples (26, 28, 30 et 34). Dans une réalisation préférée, un microprocesseur (36) mixe et trie les informations de programmation reçues de multiples appareils sources (26, 28, 30 et 34). L'information de programmation est alors affichée dans un guide de programmation télévisée (50). Un utilisateur peut sélectionner un programme (60 ou 62) en pointant sur ce programme dans l'information de programmation affichée (50). Le système (10) effectue alors une mise en marche/réglage automatique de sorte que l'appareil source demandé (26, 28, 30 ou 34) soit envoyé à l'appareil de destination (22). Un sélecteur de canaux sélectionne alors le canal (52) du programme choisi.
