광확산성이나 내광성이 양호하고, 경제성이 우수하며, 또한 타부재와의 접착성이 우수한 광확산 필름을 제공한다. 2종의 서로 비상용성인 폴리올레핀계 수지를 주성분으로서 함유하는 광확산층의 적어도 편면에, 극성기를 함유하는 폴리올레핀 수지를 주성분으로서 함유하는 접착층이 최표면이 되도록 적층된 광확산 필름으로서, 상기 필름의 전광선 투과율이 66~100%이고, 또한 상기 필름의 헤이즈가 20~100%인 것을 특징으로 하는 광확산 필름. 이 광확산 필름의 접착층면은 백라이트의 기본 유닛의 출광면의 기재 표면에 첩합(貼合)시켜서 백라이트장치를 구성한다.
