PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine housing and a turbocharger capable of improving their reliability.

SOLUTION: A turbine housing 30 formed of a light metal has a bypass passage 26 extending bypassing a turbine wheel formed therein. The opening peripheral edge of a through-hole 33 as part of the bypass passage 26 serves as a valve seat part 41 of a waste gate valve which switches opening and closing of the bypass passage 26. The valve seat part 41 is reinforced by forming a built-up part 34 by build-up welding.

【課題】信頼性の向上を図ることのできるタービンハウジングおよびターボチャージャを提供する。
【解決手段】タービンハウジング30は、軽金属により形成されるとともに、タービンホイールを迂回して延びるバイパス通路26が形成される。バイパス通路26の一部をなす貫通孔33の開口部周縁が、同バイパス通路26の開放と閉鎖とを切り換えるウェイストゲートバルブのバルブシート部41になる。バルブシート部41は、肉盛溶接によって肉盛部34を形成することにより補強される。
