PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily realizing a power-saving function in an information processing device by changing a background image.

SOLUTION: An information processing device comprises: a main body; a display device; a GPU which is installed in the main body for displaying one of a plurality of background images on the display device; measurement means which measures an amount of power supplied to the main body and the display device; and registration means which registers the amounts of power corresponding to the respective background images. A control method of the information processing device comprising the main body, the display device, and the GPU installed in the main body for displaying one of the plurality of background images on the display device, includes: a measurement step which measures an amount of power supplied to the main body and the display device; a registration step which registers the amounts of power corresponding to the respective background images; and a selection step which selects a background image from the plurality of background images on the basis of their respective amounts of power.
