Disclosed is a corrosion prevention device provided with a water deionization means (9) consisting of hydrogen ion type resin particles and hydroxide ion type resin particles; a corrosion prevention means (8) consisting of positive ion type resin particles, and negative ion type resin particles supporting anti-corrosion ions; an electrical conductivity measuring means (7) for measuring the actual values of the electrical conductivity of machining liquid; and control means (10, 11, 12) for controlling the passing of the machining liquid into the water deionization means (9) and the corrosion prevention means (8) on the basis of the electrical conductivity measuring means (7). On the basis of predetermined first and second electrical conductivity values and of the actual values measured by the electrical conductivity measuring means (7), the control means performs operations wherein the machining liquid is passed into the water deionization means and the corrosion prevention means until the actual value of the electrical conductivity of the machining liquid reaches the first electrical conductivity value. When the actual value reaches the first electrical conductivity value, the control means discontinues the passing of the machining liquid into the water deionization means (9), resulting in the machining liquid being passed only into the corrosion prevention means (8), and when the actual value rises to the second electrical conductivity value, the control means resumes the passing of the machining liquid into the water deionization means (9), resulting in the machining liquid being passed into the water deionization means (9) and the corrosion prevention means (8).
