(EN) A sealing device uses a gasket (1) in which a gasket body (12) is integrally formed on a reinforcement ring (11). The gasket body (12) comprises a seal bead (122) on one end and a seal bead (123) on the other end that is positioned at one end (11a) and the other end in the axial direction of the reinforcement (11) ring and are oriented in axially opposite directions. The seal bead (122) on the oneside is sealed on a lower surface (21a) of a mounting recess (21) formed in a housing (12), and the seal bead (123) on the other end is sealed on a cover, which closes the mounting recess (21) in thehousing (2). In a state in which the gasket (1) has been mounted in the mounting recess (21) and the cover has been removed from the housing (2), a flange (14) provided continuously with the outer circumference of the reinforcement ring (11) is provided to at least part of the outer circumference of the gasket (1) and thus serves as a part (13) that can be supported.
