In the present invention, temperature-dependent changes in the illumination characteristics of a light-source device are minimized. The light-source device is provided with the following: light-emitting units (3); a light guide (4) that has a columnar section in the middle thereof, the long direction of the columnar section being the direction of the central axis thereof, wherein light from the light-emitting units (3) that is incident on the end faces of the light guide (4) is guided in the long direction of the light guide (4) and emitted from the side faces of the columnar section; a light-guide holder (5) that covers the ends of the light guide (4) except for at least parts of the end faces thereof; and support parts (7). In each of the support parts (7), a through-hole extends from one surface of the support part (7), where the through-hole forms a first opening, to another surface of the support part (7), where the through-hole forms a second opening. Either the ends of the light-guide holder (5) are held by the first-opening sides of the through-holes so as to be able to slide lengthwise or the ends of the light-guide holder (5) extend and contract lengthwise inside or above the first openings, and either light from the light-emitting units (3) is inputted into the light guide (4) via the second openings of the through-holes or the light-emitting units (3) are positioned in the second openings. Each support part (7) supports an optical filter (6) between the first and second openings of the support part (7) and maintains a prescribed separation between the optical filter (6) and that light-emitting unit (3).
