In this power conversion device, first single phase AC conversion units connected between the lines of the first and second phases of first three-phase AC, second single phase AC conversion units connected between the lines of the second and third phases of the first three-phase AC, and third single phase AC conversion units connected between the lines of the third and first phases of the first three-phase AC form a delta-connection load to an AC power supply system. A first group is formed in which the output terminals of the first single phase AC conversion units are connected in series witheach other, and the first group and second and third groups which are different from the first group form the respective phases of a star-connection power supply. A reactive power control unit (25) controls the reactive powers of the converters of the respective single phase AC conversion units on the basis of a reactive power command value which is created on the basis of a value relating to obtained active power.
