The invention relates to a hydraulic binder comprising belite crystals (C2S) with dendritic micro-morphology, embedded in a latent hydraulic amorphous calcium silicate phase. This hydraulic binder is formed by a process involving heating the raw materials in a specified C/S molar ratio to a certain temperature and cooling in a specified manner in two steps to obtain the dendritic micro-morphology of the belite. The invention also relates to the production of a building material obtained by mixing this hydraulic binder with water. The invention enables the production of a hydraulic binder with a reduction of C02 emissions by reducing the amount of limestone in the raw materials.

The invention relates to a hydraulic binder consisting essentially in a hydraulically active amorphous calcium silicate phase, having in its constitution less than 20% in weight of a crystalline material. The said hydraulically active amorphous calcium silicate phase is a continuous matrix that may contain embedded fractions of crystalline material, being the overall C/S molar ratio of this hydraulic binder comprised between 0.8 and 1.25. The crystalline fraction of this material is essentially composed by wollastonite in both of its polymorphic structures, a and β. Furthermore,, the invention relates to methods of producing the hydraulic binder by liquefying the raw materials, in a specified C/S molar ratio, followed by fast cooling to room temperature. Finally, the invention relates to a building material made by setting the binder or a mixture containing this binder with water and subsequent hardening. The invention enables the production of a hydraulic binder with a significant reduction of C02 emissions, when compared to OPC clinker, by reducing the amount of limestone in the raw materials while obtaining competitive overall values of compressive strength of the hardened material.

The invention solves problems of material accumulation onto the walls of the heat exchanger (3) and resulting from fuel burning, while maintaining thermal efficiency as well as the reduction of maintenance operations.

The current invention refers to a functionalization process for biocidal compounds with isocyanate reactive function, in order to provide them the ability to be further imobilized through covalent bonds in compatible polymeric matrices. This biocides' imobilization ability allows for its further application as an additive for the preparation of polymeric materials (e. g. : varnishes, paints, etc. ), conferring them antifouling properties by a contact mechanism, thus avoiding the use of conventional processes, which involve the leaching of toxic agents for the biofouling control. The claimed process is therefore an environmentally friendly alternative for biofouling prevention. It consists in the reaction between diisocyanate with biocidal compounds, whose molecular structure includes functional groups compatible with the isocyanate (e. g. : amines, hydroxyl). The modified biocides are then obtained by precipitation, followed by extraction through solvent evaporation under reduced pressure. Depending on the type of biocide used and purity, the optimized reaction conditions allow for the achievement of conversions as high as 95 ± 5%.

The present invention is relate to environment and energy areas and ultimately lead to the production of liquid fuel from the thermochemical recycling of plastic materials, based on a new fast pyrolysis process. The invention consists of an external reactor (1), an internal reactor (12), two gas burners (9) located in the walls of the external reactor (1), an external furnace (2) is located where the main burner (7), a circular distribution box (5), a heat exchanger (13), a gas compressor and a cooling system by water. A novelty is the use of two concentric and circular reactors, wherein the external reactor (1) provides the heat for the pyrolysis process. Besides the mechanism, it is also intended patenting operation method thereof.
