SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element includes a hole transport region HTR. The hole transport region HTR includes a first hole transport layer HTL1 containing a hole transport material expressed by a particular chemical formula, and a second hole transport layer HTL2 containing a third hole transport material expressed by the chemical formula (3) or a fourth hole transport material expressed by the chemical formula (4).
