PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture a plain bearing having an oil groove on its inside-diameter face with high dimensional accuracy.

SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a plain bearing applies a press working method including a drawing process capable of molding a cylindrical portion of a metal sheet with a comparatively high yield rate and high accuracy, the press working includes a shearing process for shearing and thinning the cylindrical portion between a punch 12 and a die 11 and controlling dimensions such as an inside-diameter, a thickness or the like with high accuracy, a plurality of projections 12a are formed on the outer-diameter face of the cylindrical punch 12 used in the shearing process, the projections 12a are transferred to the inside-diameter face of a cup-shaped molding 4 as a groove, and the oil groove is formed on the an inside-diameter face of the plain bearing in a state of leaving the groove transferred to the inside-diameter face of the cup-shaped molding 4 on the cylindrical body which is cut in round slices, and thus the plain bearing having the oil groove on its inside-diameter face can be inexpensively manufactured with high dimensional accuracy without implementing other processes such as a grinding process and a coining process.

【課題】内径面に油溝を有するすべり軸受を安価に良い寸法精度で製造することである。
【解決手段】金属板から比較的歩留良く、かつ精度よく円筒部を成形できる絞り工程を含むプレス加工法を採用し、このプレス加工に、円筒部をポンチ12とダイス11間でしごき減厚してさらに精度良く内径や肉厚等を寸法決めできるしごき工程を設け、このしごき工程で用いる円筒ポンチ12の外径面に複数の突条12aを設けて、突条12aをカップ状成形物4の内径面に溝として転写し、カップ状成形物4の内径面に転写された溝を、輪切り切断される円筒体に残してすべり軸受の内径面に油溝を形成することにより、研削加工や圧印加工の別工程を設けることなく、内径面に油溝を有するすべり軸受を安価に良い寸法精度で製造できるようにした。
