The invention discloses an image processing method and electronic equipment. The image processing method is used for the electronic equipment with a first camera and a second camera; the first camera and the second camera are used for shooting the same scene; the image processing method comprises the following steps: controlling the first camera to shoot a first image, and controlling the second camera to shoot a second image; synthesizing the first image and the second image as a third image; computing depth information of pixels on the third image; determining a foreground image and a background image on the third image according to the depth information of the pixel; replacing the background image of the third image by use of a preset background image so as to obtain the third image with the replaced background. By use of the image processing method disclosed by the invention, the extraction of each of the foreground image and the background is more accurate, and the shot background image can be directly replaced by use of the preset background after obtaining the image through shooting, the post processing is unnecessary to perform, and the replacement of the background image is quickly realized.
