The embodiment of the invention provides a time synchronization method and system, and a piece of network equipment. The method comprises the following steps: the second network equipment receives a first data packet sent by the first network equipment, wherein the first data packet comprises a first business frame and a first timestamp T1, the first business frame is sent to the first network equipment via REC (Radio Equipment Control), the first business frame carries a system clock of the REC, and the first timestamp is the timestamp that the first network equipment receives the first business frame; the second network equipment obtains the system clock of the REC via the first data packet; the second network equipment sends the first business frame extracted from the first data packet to RE (Radio Equipment) by employing the system clock of the REC; the second network equipment records a second timestamp T2 for sending the first business frame by employing the system time of the second network equipment; and the second network equipment determines a transmission delay T which is equal to the T2 subtracting the T1 between the first network equipment and the second network equipment. According to the scheme, the time synchronization method and system, and the network equipment are beneficial to guaranteeing that the time delay between the REC and the RE is maintained to be unchanged.
