CLAIMS

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

detecting input made to a user input device of a computing device;

obtaining pressure data generated by a digital glove coupled to the computing device, the digital glove comprising a plurality of fingers, each of the plurality of fingers comprising at least one tactile pressure sensor for generating the pressure data;

determining, based on the pressure data, an amount of pressure observed by a tactile pressure sensor for a finger of the digital glove at a time the input was made to the user input device; and

performing a function on the computing device, the function being selected based, at least in part, upon the amount of pressure observed by the tactile pressure sensor for the finger of the digital glove at the time the input was made to the user input device.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the user input device comprises a mouse and wherein the input comprises a selection of a mouse button.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the user input device comprises a digital dial and wherein the input comprises a selection of a digital dial button.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the function comprises presenting a user interface (UI) for modifying settings associated with the user input device.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the function is selected based, at least in part, on the finger of the plurality of fingers having the tactile pressure sensor that observed the amount of pressure.

6. A computing device, comprising:

a processor; and

a computer-readable storage medium having executable instructions stored thereupon which, when executed by the processor, will cause the computing device to:

detect input made to a user input device of the computing device;

obtain pressure data generated by a digital glove coupled to the computing device, the digital glove comprising a plurality of fingers, each of the plurality of fingers comprising at least one tactile pressure sensor for generating the pressure data;

determine, based on the pressure data, an amount of pressure observed by a tactile pressure sensor for a finger of the digital glove at a time the input was made to the user input device; and

perform a function on the computing device, the function being selected based, at least in part, upon the amount of pressure observed by the tactile pressure sensor for the finger of the digital glove at the time the input was made to the user input device.

7. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the user input device comprises a mouse and wherein the input comprises a selection of a mouse button.

8. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the user input device comprises a digital dial and wherein the input comprises a selection of a digital dial button.

9. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the function comprises presenting a user interface (UI) for modifying settings associated with the user input device.

10. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the function is selected based, at least in part, on the finger of the plurality of fingers having the tactile pressure sensor that observed the amount of pressure.

11. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the function is selected based, at least in part, upon a determination that a plurality of tactile pressure sensors observed pressure at the time the input made to the user input device.

12. The computing device of claim 6, wherein the plurality of fingers of the digital glove further comprise a haptic device, and wherein the computer-implemented method further comprises providing a command to the digital glove to activate the haptic device in the finger of the plurality of fingers having the tactile pressure sensor that observed the amount of pressure.

13. A computing device, comprising:

a processor; and

a computer-readable storage medium having executable instructions stored thereupon which, when executed by the processor, will cause the computing device to:

obtain pressure data and flex data from a digital glove coupled to the computing device, the digital glove comprising a plurality of fingers, each of the plurality of fingers comprising at least one tactile pressure sensor for generating the pressure data and at least one flex sensor for generating the flex data;

determine, based at least in part upon the pressure data or the flex data, that a request to perform a function was made at a first time;

identify an obj ect based upon a gaze target of a user wearing the digital glove, the gaze target identified at the first time; and

perform a function on the computing device with respect to the identified

object.

14. The computing device of claim 13, wherein the function comprises selecting the object.

15. The computing device of claim 13, wherein the function comprises activating the object.
