This disclosure provides ungulate embryonic stem cells (ESCs) derived from the inner cell mass of pre-implantation blastocysts or pluripotent cells from embryos. From an agricultural and biomedical perspectives, the derivation of stable ESCs from domestic ungulates is important for genomic testing and selection, genetic engineering, and providing an experimental tool for studying human diseases. Cattle are one of the most important domestic ungulates that are commonly used for food and bioreactors.

La présente invention concerne des cellules souches embryonnaires (ESC) d'ongulés dérivées de la masse cellulaire interne de blastocystes préimplantatoires ou de cellules pluripotentes à partir d'embryons. Dans une perspective agricole et biomédicale, la dérivation d'ESC stables à partir d'ongulés domestiques est importante pour l'essai et la sélection génomiques, l'ingénierie génétique et la fourniture d'un outil expérimental pour l'étude de maladies humaines. Les bovins sont un des ongulés domestiques les plus importants qui sont couramment utilisés dans l'alimentation humaine et les bioréacteurs.
