2. Certain claims were found unsearchable
This international search report has not been established in respect of certain claims under Article 17(2)(a) for the following reasons:
1.
Claims Nos.: 13-20
because they relate to subject matter not required to be searched by this Authority, namely:
Claim 13 is directed to a method for ablation visualisation. The purpose of said method is to provide information to an operator about the position of an ablation probe inside the body of a patient, so that he/she can take informed decisions about its displacement and/or application of ablation.
Both displacement of a medical instrument and the application of ablation are considered to be physical interventions which involve a health risk for the patient even when carried out with the required medical professional care and expertise, and are therefore considered to be of surgical nature. Although these steps are not part of the method claimed, they cannot be disassociated from it, since the method steps require the presence of a medical instrument inside the body of a patient and at least indirectly determine a course of action which is of surgical nature.
As a consequence, the subject-matter of claim 13 and it dependent claims 14-20 is considered to fall under the provisions of Art.17(2)(a)(i) and R. 39.1(iv) PCT.
2.
Claims Nos.:
because they relate to parts of the international application that do not comply with the prescribed requirements to such an extent that no meaningful international search can be carried out, specifically:
3.
Claims Nos.:
because they are dependent claims and are not drafted in accordance with the second and third sentences of Rule 6.4(a).
