BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a technical field of motor vehicle, more particularly to a vehicle lamp and a motor vehicle including the same.

Description of the Related Art

Currently, a vehicle lamp in particular on a motor vehicle, for example a light source in a headlamp and a singling lamp will release a large amount of heat, while lights are emitted therefrom. Accumulation of such heat might cause high temperature of local regions of the light source, even burning-out some parts of the light source. In order to dissipate the heat, one or more ventilation holes are provided on the housings of the conventional vehicle lamps, so that they can communicate with the air from the outside environment. However, due to the use of the ventilation holes, moisture and/or dust might enter into the housing of the vehicle lamp from the outside air. As a result, illumination effect of the vehicle lamp is affected adversely to a large extent.

In order to alleviate at least one aspect of the above problems and defects present in the prior art, the present invention provides a vehicle lamp and a motor vehicle including the same.

In one aspect, it provides a vehicle lamp, comprising:

a housing for the vehicle lamp;
[0010]
a transparent part, connected with the housing tightly and hermetically, so as to form a closed space;

a light source, configured to be opposite to the transparent part and located within the closed space; and
[0012]
an inflatable flexible membrane communicated with the closed space.

In one embodiment, the flexible membrane is in a shape of ball or ellipsoid, or in a shape matching with a space structure of a rear part of a vehicle body.

In one embodiment, an inlet of the flexible membrane is provided on the housing and communicated with the closed space, and the remaining parts of the flexible membrane protrude outside the closed space.

In one embodiment, a protection cap extending toward the outside of the housing is provided on an outer surface of the housing, and the remaining parts of the flexible membrane except the inlet are housed within the protection cap.

In one embodiment, the vehicle lamp further comprising a drying device disposed within the closed space.

In one embodiment, the drying device is provided at a bottom of the vehicle lamp and on the housing.

In one embodiment, a reflector for reflecting light from the light source toward the transparent part is provided around the light source and adjacent to it.

In one embodiment, the closed space is divided by the light source and the reflector into a first sub space and a second sub space communicated with each other, wherein the first sub space is provided adjacent to the housing and the second sub space is provided adjacent to the transparent part.

In one embodiment, the flexible membrane is directly communicated with the first sub space, and a decoration frame bezel is provided around the transparent part in the second sub space.

Within various embodiments of the present invention, the vehicle lamp is designed in a fully closed form, without any ventilation hole. With the inflatable flexible membrane, a pressure of the air within the vehicle lamp can be automatically adjusted. In addition, a drying device is disposed within the housing for the vehicle lamp, so that it can ensure no moisture present in the air inside the vehicle lamp. Furthermore, it is possible to adjust the pressure in the vehicle lamp depending on the pressure of the air therein, so that there is no risk about leakage of the air.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments of the present invention will below be explained in detail by ways of examples with reference to the accompanying drawings. Throughout the description, same or similar reference numerals represent same or similar parts. The following description of the embodiments with reference to the drawings is intended to explain the general inventive concept of the present invention, instead of limiting the present invention.

With reference to Fig. 1, it illustrates a cross sectional view of a vehicle lamp for a motor vehicle in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. Specifically, the vehicle lamp 10 includes a housing 1 for the vehicle lamp, a transparent part 2, a light source 4 and an inflatable flexible membrane 5. The transparent part 2 is tightly and hermetically connected with the housing 1 so as to form a closed space 3. The light source 4 is provided to be opposite to the transparent part 2 and located within the closed space 3. The inflatable flexible membrane 5 is communicated with the closed space 3.

It should be noted herein that the transparent part 2 and the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp can be connected tightly by means of any of the existing connecting techniques, as long as they can be connected tightly with each other, such as snap-fit type tight connection, or adhesive type tight connection or the like. The present invention does not make any specific limitation on these. The light source 4 can be an LED light source or an LED light emitting assembly, and of course can be any other suitable light source.

In addition, the inflatable flexible membrane 5 functions in a similar way to that of a balloon, i.e., when the air pressure within the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp is larger than the atmospheric pressure, the flexible membrane 5 will expand as a part of the air is charged into the flexible membrane 5 from the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp. Similarly, when the pressure of the air or the gas within the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp is smaller than the atmospheric pressure, a part of the gas within the flexible membrane 5 will automatically injected into the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp, thereby keeping the pressure of the gas within the housing 1 substantially constant. In other words, in a case that the vehicle lamp 10 is provided to be closed or with a closed space 3, i.e., the vehicle lamp 10 is not provided with any ventilation hole, the flexible membrane 5 can adjust the pressure of the gas within the housing 1 by the variation of its volume, since the flexible membrane 5 is made of a flexible material.

In one example, the flexible membrane 5 can be made of a rubber material or any other suitable material of flexibility. In addition, the flexible membrane 5 can be in a shape of ball, or ellipsoid, or in a shape matching with a space structure of the rear part of the vehicle body or in any other suitable shape.

It should be noted that it can be appreciated by the skilled person in the art that the flexible membrane 5 will be in a different shape before the gas charging or after the gas discharging. For example, in one example, due to the limitation on the space at the installing location, the flexible membrane 5 is required to have a shape matching with the space structure at the rear part of the vehicle body for example before the gas charging or after the gas discharging, such as an irregularly special shape.

As shown in Fig. 1, an inlet 51 of the flexible membrane 5 is provided on the housing 1 for the vehicle lamp and communicated with the closed space 3. The remaining parts of the flexible membrane 5 all protrude outside the closed space 3. That is, the flexible membrane 5 is provided at the outside of the housing 1 and communicated with the closed space 3 within the housing 1 only by the inlet 51.

Further, in order to avoid accidentally piercing the flexible membrane 5 or the like, a protection cap 6 extending toward the outside of the housing 1 is provided on an outer surface of the housing 1, and the remaining parts of the flexible membrane 5 except the inlet 51 are housed within the protection cap 6. In one embodiment, the protection cap 6 is formed by one or more partition plates.

In addition, the vehicle lamp 10 further includes a drying device 7 disposed within the closed space 3. In one example, the drying device 7 can be a desiccating agent, or any other suitable device having the similar function. The drying device 7 is provided at the bottom of the vehicle lamp 10 and located on the housing 1.

With reference to Fig. 1 again, a reflector 8 for reflecting light from the light source 4 toward the transparent part 2 is provided around the light source 4 and adjacent to it. Typically, the reflector 8 is disposed to be substantially bowl-shaped, so as to achieve the reflection function. Of course, it is also possible to design the specific shapes of the reflector 8 as required.

The closed space 3 is divided by the light source 4 and the reflector 8 into a first sub space 31 and a second sub space 32 communicated with each other, wherein the first sub space 31 is provided adjacent to the housing 1 and the second sub space 32 is provided adjacent to the transparent part 2. As shown in Fig. 1, the first sub space 31 can be arranged to be smaller than the second sub space 32. However, the person skilled in the art shall understand that the actual sizes of the first sub space 31 and the second sub space 32 can be set depending on the actual needs.

In the present embodiment, the flexible membrane 5 is directly communicated with the first sub space 31, and a decoration frame or bezel 91, 92, 93 is provided around the transparent part 2 in the second sub space 32. In this embodiment, the decoration frame 91 is a fixed decorating frame which is provided at the bottom of the housing 1 and located within the second sub space 32. The decoration frame 92 is a movable decorating frame provided above the reflector 8. The decoration frame 93 is referred to two main decorating frames around the transparent part 2. It should be noted that the function or role of the decoration frames 91, 92 and 93 as mentioned in this embodiment is to adjust the distribution, direction or intensity or the like of the light emitted from the light source, as needed.

Another embodiment of the present invention also provides a motor vehicle. It includes the vehicle lamp 10 as described above.

It should be noted that the vehicle lamp according to the present embodiment may include any types of illumination lamps and/or signaling lamps for a motor vehicle, for example, headlamps, central high mounted stop lamps, turn indicators, position lamps, rear stop lamps and so on.

Within various embodiments of the present invention, the vehicle lamp is designed in a fully closed form, without any ventilation hole. With the inflatable flexible membrane, a pressure of the air within the vehicle lamp can be automatically adjusted. In addition, a drying device is disposed within the housing for the vehicle lamp, so that it can ensure no moisture present in the air inside the vehicle lamp. Claims

[Claim 1]
A vehicle lamp (10) , comprising: a housing (1) for the vehicle lamp (10) ; a transparent part (2) , connected with the housing (1) tightly and hermetically, so as to form a closed space (3) ; a light source (4) , configured to be opposite to the transparent part (2) and located within the closed space (3) ; and an inflatable flexible membrane (5) communicated with the closed space (3) .

The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 1, wherein the flexible membrane (5) is in a shape of ball or ellipsoid, or in a shape matching with a space structure of a rear part of a vehicle body.

The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 2, wherein an inlet (51) of the flexible membrane (5) is provided on the housing (1) and communicated with the closed space (3) , and the remaining parts of the flexible membrane (5) protrude outside the closed space (3) .

The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 3, wherein a protection cap (6) extending toward the outside of the housing (1) is provided on an outer surface of the housing (1) , and the remaining parts of the flexible membrane (5) except the inlet (51) are housed within the protection cap (6) .

The vehicle lamp (10) according to any of claims 1-4, further comprising a drying device (7) disposed within the closed space (3) .
[Claim 6]
The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 5, wherein the drying device (7) is provided at a bottom of the vehicle lamp (10) and on the housing (1) .
[Claim 7]
The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 6, wherein a reflector (8) for reflecting light from the light source (4) toward the transparent part (2) is provided around the light source (4) and adjacent to it.
[Claim 8]
The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 7, wherein the closed space (3) is divided by the light source (4) and the reflector (8) into a first sub space (31) and a second sub space (32) communicated with each other, wherein the first sub space (31) is provided adjacent to the housing (1) and the second sub space (32) is provided adjacent to the transparent part (2) .
[Claim 9]
The vehicle lamp (10) according to claim 8, wherein the flexible membrane (5) is directly communicated with the first sub space (31) , and a decoration frame or bezel (91, 92, 93) is provided around the transparent part (2) in the second sub space (32) .

A motor vehicle, comprising the vehicle lamp (10) according to any of claims 1-9.
