CLAIMS

1. A holder (200) configured to be attached to a carrier body (160) for holding a substrate (101), the holder (200) comprising:

a first portion (210) having a first inclined surface (212), the first portion (210) being configured to be attached to the carrier body (160); and

a second portion (220), the second portion (220) being configured to be movable relative to the first portion (210) in at least one direction (X),

wherein the first inclined surface (212) is inclined with respect to a substrate (101) to be loaded by a first angle (ai).

2. The holder according to claim 1, wherein the second portion (210) comprises a second inclined surface (222), the second inclined surface (222) facing the first inclined surface (212), the second inclined surface (222) being inclined with respect to substrate (101) to be loaded by a second angle a2.

3. The holder according to claim 2, wherein the first angle (α and the second angle (a2) are equal to each other.

4. The holder according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the first angle (α and/or the second angle (a2) are equal to or less than 10°, typically equal to or less than 8°, and/or equal to or greater than 4°, typically equal to or greater than 6°, specifically wherein the first angle (ai) and/or the second angle (a2) are equal to 7°.

5. The holder according to any one of claims 2 to 4, further comprising a force arrangement (240).

6. The holder according to claim 5, wherein the force arrangement is selected from the group consisting of at least one spring element or at least one pneumatic cylinder.

7. The holder according to claim 5 or 6, wherein the force arrangement (240) is configured to exert a force between the first portion (210) and the second portion (220) to move the second portion (220) relative to the first portion (210) from a loading position to a clamping position.

8. The holder according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the first portion (210) further comprises a stepped surface (214), the stepped surface (214) facing the first inclined surface (212) and being configured to support a substrate (101) to be loaded.

9. The holder according to claim 8, wherein the stepped surface (214) comprises a stepped portion having a height (h), the height (h) equaling a thickness (d) of the substrate

(101) to be loaded.

10. The holder according to any one of the claims 1 to 9, wherein the second portion (220) further comprises a contact surface (224), the contact surface (224) being opposite the first inclined surface (212).

11. A holder (200) configured to be attached to a carrier body (160) for holding a substrate (101), the holder (200) comprising:

a u-shaped first portion (210) having a first inclined surface (212) and a stepped surface (214), the u-shaped first portion (210) being configured to be attached to the carrier body (160), the stepped surface (214) facing the first inclined surface (212) and being configured to support a substrate (101) to be loaded; and

a second portion (220), having a second inclined surface (222) and a contact surface (214), the second portion (220) being movable relative to the first portion (210) in at least one direction (X) from an open position to a clamping position, the second inclined surface (222) facing the first inclined surface (212), the contact surface (224) facing the stepped surface (214),

wherein the first inclined surface (212) and the second inclined surface (222) are inclined with respect to the contact surface (224) by an angle (a), the angle (a) being equal to 7°,

and wherein the holder (200) is configured to self-lock the substrate (101) in the clamping position.

12. A carrier (100) comprising at least one holder (200) according to any one of the preceding claims.

13. The carrier according to claim 12, further comprising a carrier body (160), the carrier body (160) including a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side, wherein the at least one holder (200) is arranged at the first side of the carrier body (160), the first side being arranged at a higher position with respect to gravity than the second side, the third side and the fourth side when the carrier (100) is arranged in a loading position.

14. A method (80) for fixing a substrate (101) in a carrier (100) having a carrier body (160), comprising:

loading (81) a substrate (101) on the carrier (100);

moving (82) at least one holder (200) relative to the carrier body (160) towards the substrate (101), the at least one holder (200) comprising a first portion (210) and a second portion (220); and

clamping the substrate (101) with the at least one holder (200) by moving the second portion (220) of the at least one holder (200) towards the substrate (101) in at least one direction (X).

15. The method according to claim 14, wherein the at least one direction (X) is parallel to a plane of the substrate (101).
