A method of making a diluted polysiloxane containing polymer comprising the steps of:- i) Preparing a polysiloxane containing polymer by the polycondensation of siloxane containing monomers and/or oligomers which comprise condensable groups in the presence of an organopolysiloxane and/or an organic based diluent material, a suitable catalyst and optionally an end-blocking agent; and ii) Where required quenching the polymerisation process; wherein the diluent material is substantially retained within the resulting diluted organopolysiloxane.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un polymère contenant un polysiloxane dilué comprenant les étapes suivantes: (i) préparation d'un polymère contenant un polysiloxane par polycondensation de monomères contenant un siloxane et/ou d'oligomères contenant des groupements condensables en présence d'une substance de dilution d'organopolysiloxane et/ou organique, un catalyseur convenable et éventuellement un agent bloquant terminal; et (ii) refroidissement rapide, si nécessaire, de la polymérisation. La substance de dilution est sensiblement retenue dans l'organopolysiloxane dilué ainsi obtenu.
