The organic molecules attached to the exterior of the nanowire are adapted to releasably hold gas molecules. Methods for making and using the invention, including the use of a silicon nanowire, are disclosed.

L'invention concerne un support de stockage (10) destiné à des molécules de gaz (40) et comprenant un nanofil central (20) et une pluralité de molécules organiques (30) fixées à la surface extérieure du nanofil. Les molécules organiques fixées à la surface extérieure du nanofil permettent de retenir les molécules de gaz de manière libérable. L'invention concerne également des procédés de fabrication et d'utilisation de ce support, et notamment l'utilisation d'un nanofil de silicium.
