L'invention concerne des méthodes servant à inhiber la croissance de bactéries anaérobies, en particulier, des bactéries provoquant la mauvaise haleine. Ces méthodes mettent en application des souches de Streptococcus salivarius produisant BLIS, leurs extraits et des compositions les contenant pour la prophylaxie ou le traitement de la mauvaise haleine.
