L'invention concerne une interface utilisateur pour centres multimédia, qui utilise de façon avantageuse des dispositifs de saisie portatifs à détection inertielle, pour la sélection de canaux et la navigation rapide dans les menus denses d'options. Une large utilisation de la résolution et de la largeur de bande élevées des dispositifs en question est combinée à la fois avec des stratégies visant à éviter les saisies inopinées et avec des afficheurs graphiques interactifs denses et intuitifs.
