An optical scanning device is suitable for scanning a first information layer (23) of a first optical record carrier (21) with a first radiation beam (27) and a second information layer (47) of a second optical record carrier (45) with a second radiation beam (49). The device includes a radiation source (26) and a lens system (24). The radiation source (26) supplies the first and second radiation beams. The lens system has one optical axis (33) and operates: as a catadioptric system for the first radiation beam in order to transform this beam to a first focused radiation beam (35) having a first numerical aperture (NA1) so as to form a first scanning spot (36) in the position of the first information layer, and as a refractive system for the second radiation beam in order to transform this beam to a second focused radiation beam (52) having a second numerical aperture (NA2), different from the first numerical aperture, so as to form a second scanning spot (53) in the position of the second information layer.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de balayage optique, conçu pour balayer une première couche d'informations (23) d'un premier support d'enregistrement optique (21), au moyen d'un premier faisceau de rayonnement (27), et une seconde couche d'informations (47) d'un second support d'enregistrement optique (45), au moyen d'un second faisceau de rayonnement (49). Le dispositif comprend une source de rayonnement (26) et un système de lentilles (24). La source de rayonnement (26) fournit le premier faisceau de rayonnement et le second faisceau de rayonnement. Le système de lentilles comporte un axe optique (33) et fonctionne: en tant que système catadioptrique pour le premier faisceau de rayonnement, de sorte à transformer ce faisceau en un premier faisceau de rayonnement focalisé (35), présentant une première ouverture numérique (NA1), de sorte à former un premier spot de balayage (36) au niveau de la position de la première couche d'informations, et en tant que système de réfraction pour le second faisceau de rayonnement, de sorte à transformer ce faisceau en un second faisceau de rayonnement focalisé (52), présentant une seconde ouverture numérique (NA2), différente de la première ouverture numérique, de sorte à former un second spot de balayage (53) au niveau de la position de la seconde couche d'informations.
