CLAIMS

1. A promotional display device for use in household, stores, restaurants, bars and the like, said device including a decorative casing (15, 42) having exterior surface thereof adapted to carry promotional material, characterized in that there is magnetic field generating means (18, 73-74) disposed in and secured to said casing (15, 42) and adapted to generate a magnetic field having magnetic power sufficient to suspend a cluster (77) of objects thematically related to said promotional material, the objects being suspended generally exteriorly of the casing (15, 42) said decorative casing (15, 42) being adapted to visually conceal the generating means (18, 73-73) but to allow attraction of the discarded objects (77) to same at points outside of the casing (15, 42) whereby the promotional article continuously displays the promotional material while permitting gradual accumulation of said objects in a cluster (77) at a location which appears to be exteriorly of said casing (18, 73-74), thus providing an unusual visual feature attracting the attention to the promotional display device.

2. A promotional display device for use in stores, restaurants, bars and the like, said device including a decorative casing (15, 42) having exterior surface thereof adapted to carry promotional material, suspension means (30) operatively associated with the decorative casing (15, 42) and adapted to maintain same in a suspended state at a vertical spacing above a support surface, characterized in that there is magnetic field generating means (18, 73-74) disposed in and secured to said casing (15, 42) and adapted to generate a magnetic field having magnetic power sufficient to suspend a cluster (77) of discarded metallic objects such as beverage bottle generally below the casing (15, 42) said decorative casing (15, 42) being adapted to visually conceal the generating means (18, 73-73) but to allow attraction of the discarded objects (77) to same from below, whereby the promotional article continuously displays the promotional material while permitting gradual accumulation of discarded objects in a cluster (77) at a location which appears to be below said casing (18, 73-74), thus providing an unusual visual feature attracting the attention to the promotional display device.

3. The device as recited in claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the casing (15, 42) includes an enlarged replica of one of discarded objects forming said cluster (77).

4. The device of one of the preceding claims, wherein the casing (15, 42) includes a replica of a beverage bottle cap which comprises a generally flat top and a downwardly dependent peripheral skirt, said skirt (76) having a peripheral edge portion (76a) which is disposed at a level below said generating means (18, 73-74) but above a lowermost point of the magnetic field

The device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the casing (15, 42) is an enlarged replica of a beverage bottle cap, said generating means (18, 73-74) being adapted to generate magnetic field having power sufficient to retain a cluster (77) of metallic bottle caps, whereby the device is capable of providing the appearance combining the image of a large bottle cap displaying a cluster of bottle caps suspended therefrom.

The device as recited in claim 5, characterized in that the generating means (73, 74) includes a cylindric electric coil (74) having a generally horizontal axis and surrounding an iron or the like core (73), characterized in that a pair of generally downwardly dependent plates (64, 65) is fixedly secured to axial ends of the core (73) such that a part (69, 70) of each plate (64, 65) projects below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a) of the casing (42), whereby the part assists in the formation of the cluster (77).

7. The device as recited in claim 6, characterized in that at least a portion of each said part (69, 70) projecting below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a) of the casing (42) is inclined downwardly and away from a vertical axis of the casing (42) to provide a funnel-like space for the cluster (77).

The device as recited in claim 7, characterized in that there is a non-magnetizable screen (75) separating the inner space of the casing (42) into an upper chamber which houses said generating means (73, 74), and a downwardly open lower section, waid screen (75) being adapted to maintain said cluster near and below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a).

The device as recited in any one of claims 6 - 8, characterized in that the casing (42) is fixedly secured to a bottom portion of an upright junction box (44), that said junction box (44) is provided with suspension means (30a) securement means (52, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59) releasably securing to the junction box (44) a pair of vertical caps (40, 41 ) which are of a generally identical configuration and size as the casing (42), the securement means (52, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59) being arranged to hold the vertical caps with flat surfaces (43) thereof generally parallel and spaced from each other, and with edges of skirt portions of the vertical caps (40, 41 ) generally in abutment against each other.

10. The device as recited in claim 9, characterized in that the vertical caps (40, 41 ) are made from a translucent material and in that the junction box (44) includes support means for a light source means (47) so arranged and disposed as to illuminate the interior of at least one of said vertical caps (40, 41).

A promotional display device for use in household, store restaurants, bars and the like, said device including a decorative casing (1 42) having exterior surface thereof adapted to display promotional materi characterized in that there is magnetic field generating means (18, 73-7 secured to said casing (15, 42) and adapted to generate a magnetic fie having magnetic power sufficient to hold generally exteriorly of the casing (1 42) a cluster (77) of objects thematically related to said promotional materi said device thus being adapted to allow accumulation of said objects (77) in cluster at points outside of the casing (15, 42) whereby, in use, apart fro displaying the promotional material, the promotional display device displays t promotional material while permitting gradual build-up of said cluster (77), th providing an unusual visual feature attracting the attention to the promotion display device.

2. A promotional display device for use in household, store restaurants, bars and the like, said device including a decorative casing (1 42) having exterior surface thereof adapted to carry promotional materi characterized in that there is magnetic field generating means (18, 73-7 disposed in and secured to said casing (15, 42) and adapted to generate magnetic field having magnetic power sufficient to suspend a cluster (77) objects thematically related to said promotional material, the objects bei suspended generally exteriorly of the casing (15, 42) said decorative casi (15, 42) being adapted to visually conceal the generating means (18, 73-7 but to allow attraction of the discarded objects (77) to same at points outsi of the casing (15, 42) whereby the promotional article continuously displa the promotional material while permitting gradual accumulation of said objec in a cluster (77) at a location which appears to be exteriorly of said casing (1 73-74), thus providing an unusual visual feature attracting the attention to t promotional display device.

A promotional display device for use in stores, restaurants, bars and the like, said device including a decorative casing (1 5, 42) having exterior surface thereof adapted to carry promotional material, suspension means (30) operatively associated with the decorative casing (15, 42) and adapted to maintain same in a suspended state at a vertical spacing above a support surface, characterized in that there is magnetic field generating means ( 18, 73-74) disposed in and secured to said casing (15, 42) and adapted to generate a magnetic field having magnetic power sufficient to suspend a cluster (77) of discarded metallic objects such as beverage bottle generally below the casing (15, 42) said decorative casing (15, 42) being adapted to visually conceal the generating means (18, 73-73) but to allow attraction of the discarded objects (77) to same from below, whereby the promotional article continuously displays the promotional material while permitting gradual accumulation of discarded objects in a cluster (77) at a location which appears to be below said casing (18, 73-74), thus providing an unusual visual feature attracting the attention to the promotional display device.

4. The device as recited in one of claims 1 - 3, characterized in that the casing (15, 42) includes an enlarged replica of one of discarded objects forming said cluster (77).

5. The device of one of the preceding claims, wherein the casing (15, 42) includes a replica of a beverage bottle cap which comprises a generally flat top and a downwardly dependent peripheral skirt, said skirt (76) having a peripheral edge portion (76a) which is disposed at a level below said generating means (18, 73-74) but above a lowermost point of the magnetic field

The device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the casing (15, 42) is an enlarged replica of a beverage bottle cap, said generating means (18, 73-74) being adapted to generate magnetic field having power sufficient to retain a cluster (77) of metallic bottle caps, whereby the device is capable of providing the appearance combining the image of a large bottle cap displaying a cluster of bottle caps suspended therefrom.

The device as recited in claim 6, characterized in that the generating means (73, 74) includes a cylindric electric coil (74) having a generally horizontal axis and surrounding an iron or the like core (73), characterized in that a pair of generally downwardly dependent plates (64, 65) is fixedly secured to axial ends of the core (73) such that a part (69, 70) of each plate (64, 65) projects below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a) of the casing (42), whereby the part assists in the formation of the cluster (77).

8. The device as recited in claim 7, characterized in that at least a portion of each said part (69, 70) projecting below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a) of the casing (42) is inclined downwardly and away from a vertical axis of the casing (42) to provide a funnel-like space for the cluster (77).

9. The device as recited in claim 8, characterized in that there is a non-magnetizable screen (75) separating the inner space of the casing (42) into an upper chamber which houses said generating means (73, 74), and a downwardly open lower section, said screen (75) being adapted to maintain said cluster near and below the level of the lowermost peripheral rim portion (76a).

10. The device as recited in any one of claims 7 - 9, characterized in that the casing (42) is fixedly secured to a bottom portion of an upright junction box (44), that said junction box (44) is provided with suspension means (30a) securement means (52, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59) releasably securing to the junction box (44) a pair of vertical caps (40, 41 ) which are of a generally identical configuration and size as the casing (42), the securement means (52, 53, 55, 56, 58, 59) being arranged to hold the vertical caps with flat surfaces (43) thereof generally parallel and spaced from each other, and with edges of skirt portions of the vertical caps (40, 41 ) generally in abutment against each other.

The device as recited in claim 10, characterized in that the vertical caps (40, 41 ) are made from a translucent material and in that the junction box (44) includes support means for a light source means (47) so arranged and disposed as to illuminate the interior of at least one of said vertical caps (40, 41 ).
