STATEMENT UNDER ARTICLE 19

Independent Claim 1 has been amended to limit the claimed metal working composition by "consisting essentially of" terminology. In addition, Claim 1 has been amended to recite that the amine salt is blended in an oil. Finally, element (B) of Claim 1 now recites an alkoxylated monoamine, diamine, or polyamine, as being one of the two reactants which form the claimed amine salt reaction product, rather than reciting the compounds utilized to prepare such alkoxylated amine. Moreover, independent Claim 1 has been amended to limit the alkoxylated monoamine, diamine, or polyamine portion of the claimed salt, to an alkoxylated amine which contains from about 5 to about 15 moles of an alkylene oxide, thus ensuring that the claimed amine salt contains multiple oxygen or -0- linkages resulting in at least two independent ether groups, at least one of which is a polyether, attached to the nitrogen atom of the amine salt, such as polyoxyethylene or polyoxy-propylene.
Claim 2 has been amended to specify that the alkoxylated amine of element (B) of Claim 1 contains from about 5 up to about 15 moles of an alkylene oxide comprising ethylene oxide or propylene oxide.
Claim 6 has been amended to specify that the sum of x and y is from about 5 to about 15 rather than either about 2 or about 15.
Claim 7 has been amended in a manner similar to Claim 2 described above.
Claim 10 has been amended in a manner similar to Claims 2 and 7 described above.
Independent Claim 12 has been amended to limit the claimed metal working composition by "consisting essentially of" terminology. In addition, Claim 12 has been amended to more broadly recite the dihydrocarbyldithiophosphoric acid element of the composition claimed therein in a manner similar to Claim 1, and also limits the composition reacted therewith to form the claimed amine salt to an alkoxylated monoamine containing from about 5 to about 15 moles of an alkylene oxide, for the reasons set forth immediately above in the explanation of the amendment to Claim 1.
