(EN) A hypodermic syringe (1) is provided having a barrel (5) with a movable plunger (7) therein to inject a fluid through a hollow needle thereof which is housed within a passageway of a needle assembly that is attached to the barrel by ultrasonic welding means or other permanent attaching means. Positioned between sacrificial supports (31) in the needle assembly and the barrel is a deformable base (11). The deformable base houses an enlarged head (13) of the needle which is in contact with energy storage means (21) within the passageway of the needle assembly. The plunger has a rupturable boot (43) thereon which, upon completion of an injection, contacts a deformable base forcing it downward and severing a sacrificial support means within the needle assembly thereby permitting the base to move the enlarged head of the needle downward, until it is blocked by the passageway. Further movement of the base forces the enlarged needle head from the base and into contact with the rupturable boot.
(FR) Une seringue hypodermique (1) est dotée d'un cylindre (5) renfermant un piston mobile (7) destiné à injecter un liquide à travers une aiguille creuse logée à l'intérieur d'un passage d'un ensemble aiguille fixé au cylindre par un moyen de soudage à ultrasons ou un autre moyen de fixation permanente. Située entre des supports (31), cédant sous la pression, dans l'ensemble aiguille et le cylindre se trouve une base déformable (11). Ladite base déformable loge une tête élargie (13) de l'aiguille, laquelle se trouve en contact avec un moyen (21) de stockage d'énergie à l'intérieur du passage de l'ensemble aiguille. Ledit plongeur porte une pièce en forme de botte (43) cassable qui, à la fin de l'injection, vient au contact d'une base déformable la forçant vers le bas et coupant un moyen de support cédant sous la pression à l'intérieur de l'ensemble aiguille, permettant ainsi à la base de déplacer la tête élargie de l'aiguille vers le bas, jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit bloquée par le passage. Un mouvement supplémentaire de la base force la tête de l'aiguille élargie à venir en contact avec la pièce en forme de botte cassable à partir de la base.
