(EN) A method for producing biogas from an untreated organic substrate in an anaerobic digestion chamber wherein the untreated organic substrate has a dry matter content in the range of 20% to 90% total solids wherein the method comprises the steps of: pre-treating the untreated organic substrate, feeding the slurry to a digestion chamber to form a slurry having a dry matter content in the total solids range from 8% to 19.9%; the slurry is digested in a digestion chamber to produce biogas and biogas residue, and wherein, in the pretreatment step, the untreated organic substrate is diluted using a mixture of a dilution fluid and liquid biogas residue from the digestion chamber.
