A terminal comprises a depth camera, the depth camera comprises a light emitter and a light receiver, and the control method comprises the followingsteps: controlling the light emitter to emit a preset number of frames of test laser to a current scene; controlling the light receiver to receive the test laser reflected by the current scene; acquiring depth information of the current scene according to the received test laser; judging whether depth smaller than a preset safety distance exists in the depth information or not; and if yes, controlling the terminal to enter a security mode. The invention further discloses a terminal control device, the terminal and a computer readable storage medium. Depth information is firstly acquired according to the reflected test laser. According to the depth information, whether the depth smaller than the preset safety distance exists or not is judged, if yes, it is judged that if the current laser irradiates the body of the user, the user is likely to be hurt, and the terminal is further controlled to enter the safety mode, so that when the use distance of the user is short, the safety of usingthe terminal is also high.
