(EN) A wrist watch has a device for attaching the strap to the watch, for example pairs of arms extending laterally from the watch (1), between which a pin can be fitted and around which, at least partly, the strap can be wound. In order to change slightly the aesthetic impression created by the wrist watch (3), a recess is provided for housing the watch (1) together with the fastening device and the strap. This recess has a covering part (9) with a downward-oriented wall and a depression adapted to the watch shape, the wall (12) of which has a diametral opening (13) for fitting therein the fastening device (21) and the strap (3). In the free-end area of the wall there is a tilt-up covering cap which, when closed, covers the space between opening-separated wall parts (13). The watch edges rest upon the depression rim (10); and the upper part of the depression is provided with an ornament.
