Claims

1. A modular fluid storage apparatus comprising a plurality of chambers each having at least one inlet and at least one outlet and connection means for fluidly connecting
one chamber to another.
2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, wherein the outlet of one chamber is connected to the inlet of an adjacent chamber by the connection means.
3. Apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the chamber comprises one fluid
connection for allowing passage at a first normal flow rate, and a second fluid
connection for allowing passage at a second flow rate which represents the flow rate during storm conditions.
4. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, comprising at least one inlet chamber, at least one central chamber and at least one outlet chamber, wherein the at least
one inlet chamber is connected to a central chamber and the at least one outlet
chamber is connected to a central chamber.
5. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, wherein each chamber has a
substantially planar base.
6. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, further comprising locking means to
lock together adjacent chambers.
7. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, wherein each chamber comprises at
least one substantially planar surface and a substantially planar surface of a chamber is arranged to abut a substantially planar surface of an adjacent chamber.
8. Apparatus according to Claim 7, wherein the substantially planar surface includes at least one part of a meshing arrangement.
9. Apparatus according to Claim 8, wherein the meshing arrangement comprises at
least one protrusion in the substantially planar surface of one chamber and at least one indent in the planar surface of another chamber and wherein the protrusion is so shaped and dimensioned as to mesh with the said indent.
10. Apparatus according to any of claims 6 to 9, wherein the locking means includes a locking pin.
11. Apparatus according to Claim 10, wherein the locking means includes apertures located in adjacent chambers and with said apertures substantially aligned the
locking pin passes through the said apertures to lock adjacent chambers together.

12. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, wherein the connection means for fluidly connecting one chamber to another comprises an opening in each chamber and a pipe extending into each opening.
13. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 11, wherein the connection means for fluidly connecting one chamber to another comprises a male/female connector and wherein a male connector of one chamber connects to a female connector of an adjacent chamber.
14. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, further comprising a breather.
15. Apparatus according to Claim 14, wherein each chamber includes breather openings and breather openings of adjacent chambers are connected together by a fluid conduit.
16. Apparatus according to any preceding claim, further comprising an outlet flow control.
17. A modular fluid storage apparatus substantially as shown in and described with reference to the drawings.
