CLAIMS

1. Assembly comprising a motor (M) and a mechanical seal (T);

said motor (M) comprising:

- a casing (Z),

- a lid (C) fixed to the casing (Z);

- a hollow shaft (A) provided with an axial duct (A2) and an end (A4) directed towards said lid (C),

- a stem (S) fixed to the lid (C) and disposed axially inside said axial duct (A2) of the hollow shaft in such a way to define an annular chamber (A1 ) between the stem and the hollow shaft; said stem (S) being provided with an axial duct (A3) in communication with the annular chamber (A1 ) for the passage of a coolant;

said mechanical seal (T) comprising a rotary assembly (GM) fixed to the hollow shaft (A) and a fixed assembly (GF) fixed to the casing (Z); the rotary assembly (GM) being provided with a rotary ring (4) and the fixed assembly (GS) being provided with a fixed ring (6) stressed by a spring (1 1 ) towards said rotary ring (4);

wherein the fixed assembly (GF) is fixed to said casing (Z) around the hollow shaft, and

The rotary assembly (GM) is fixed to the hollow shaft (A) in such a way that a sliding portion (43b) of the rotary ring externally protrudes from the hollow shaft, above said end (A4) of the hollow shaft, being disposed between the fixed ring (6) and the lid (C), in such a way that the spring (1 1 ) pushes the fixed ring (6) towards the rotary ring (4) in a direction towards the lid (C).

2. The assembly of claim 1 , wherein said rotary assembly (GM) comprises a frame (1 ) comprising a tubular portion (1 a) with a first section (1 b) inserted in the hollow shaft (A) and fixed to the hollow shaft (A) by interference, and a second section (1 c) that protrudes from the end (A4) of the hollow shaft; said frame (1 ) also comprising an annular portion (1 d) that protrudes radially from the tubular portion (1 a) and surmounts the end (A4) of the hollow shaft;

said rotary ring (4) being disposed in the vicinity of the second section (1 c) of the tubular portion (1 a) and of the annular portion (1 d) of the frame (1 ).

The assembly of claim 2, wherein said rotary assembly (GM) comprises a seal (2) comprising a cylindrical wall (21 ) disposed between the second section (1 c) of the tubular portion (1 a) of the frame (1 ) and the rotary ring (4), and an annular wall (22) that protrudes radially from the cylindrical wall (21 ) of the seal and is disposed between the rotary ring (4) and the annular portion (10b) of the frame (1 ).

4. The assembly of any one of the preceding claims, wherein said rotary assembly (GM) comprises an annular spacer (49) disposed between said end (A4) of the hollow shaft and said rotary ring (4).

5. The assembly of claim 4, wherein said annular spacer (49) is made in one piece with said seal (2) and extends orthogonally from said cylindrical wall (21 ) of the seal (2).

6. The assembly of any one of the preceding claims, wherein said fixed assembly (GF) comprises an internal frame (8) that supports said fixed ring and an external frame (13) that houses said internal frame; said external frame comprising:

- an internal cylindrical wall (131 );

- an external cylindrical wall (132) coaxial to said internal cylindrical wall

(131 );

- a bottom wall (133) that joins said internal cylindrical wall (131 ) with said external cylindrical wall (132);

said internal cylindrical wall (131 ), said external cylindrical wall (132) and said bottom wall (133) defining an annular seat (E) that houses the spring (1 1 ) and the internal frame (8); said annular seat (E) being provided with an opening that is directed towards the lid (C).

The assembly of claim 6, wherein said internal frame (8) comprises a planar annular bottom wall (80) that faces the bottom wall (133) of the external frame (13), and a cylindrical wall (81 ) that extends axially from an external edge of the bottom wall (80) in such a way to enclose the fixed ring (6) of the fixed assembly (GF) at least partially.

The assembly of claim 7, wherein said fixed assembly (GF) comprises a seal (7) comprising a planar annular wall (70) disposed axially between the bottom wall (80) of the internal frame (8) and the fixed ring (6); said seal (7) comprising an external cylindrical wall (71 ) that extends axially from the annular wall (70) and is disposed radially between the cylindrical wall (81 ) of the fixed frame and the fixed ring (6); said seal (7) comprising a lip sealing portion (72) that extends from the annular wall (70) and cooperates with the internal cylindrical wall (131 ) of the external frame (13).

The assembly of any one of claims 2 to 8, wherein said frame (1 ) of the rotary assembly comprises a set of wings (1 e) that protrude radially from said annular portion (1 d); said rotary assembly (GM) comprising a drive ring (5) that is integral with the rotary ring (4) and partially surrounds said rotary ring (4); said drive ring (5) comprising a set of projections (5a); each wing (1 e) of the mobile frame (1 ) being inserted between two adjacent projections (5a) of the drive ring (5).

10. The assembly of any one of the preceding claims, comprising coupling means (MA) suitably configured to maintain the fixed assembly (GF) and the rotary assembly (GM) coupled.

1 1 . The assembly of claim 10, wherein said coupling means (MA) comprise:

- a retaining ring (16) comprising a planar annular portion (161 ) disposed on the bottom wall (133) of the external frame (13) and fixed to the external frame (13), and at least one element (162) that extends axially from said planar annular portion (161 ) above the fixed ring (6); said at least one element (162) comprising a section (162b) bent towards the internal cylindrical wall (131 ) of the external frame (13); and

- an annular stop shelf (17) being obtained in the cylindrical wall (52) of the drive ring (5) and protruding laterally outwards from said cylindrical wall (52) of the drive ring (5); said annular stop shelf (17) comprising a first side (17a) directed towards the bottom wall (133) of the external frame (13), and a second side (17b) opposite to said first side (17a) and suitable for being stopped against said section (162b) of the elements (162) of the retaining ring (16).

12. The assembly of any one of claims 4 to 12, wherein said annular spacer (49) has a thickness lower than 1 mm.

13. The assembly of any one of the preceding claims, wherein said external frame (13) comprises a coupling surface (139) that is press-fitted with the casing (Z) of the motor.

14. The assembly of claim 13, wherein said casing of the motor is provided with a seat obtained around the hollow shaft (A), which houses the external frame (13) of the fixed assembly (GF) of the seal (T); said coupling surface (139) being disposed in the seat of the casing.

15. The assembly of claim 14, wherein said casing of the motor comprises a flange (F); said seat of the motor (M) being disposed on said flange (F).

16. The assembly of claim 14, wherein said casing of the motor (M) comprises a flange (F) and an adapter (AD) connected to the flange (F); said seat of the motor (M) being disposed on said adapter (F).
