CLAIMS

1. A cell culture media comprising the following components: basal media, 0.0001-10% recombinant albumin, and one or more components selected from the group consisting of; glutamine, insulin, IGF, transferrin, ethanolamine, fetuin, vitamins, lipoprotein, fatty acids, amino acids, sodium selenite, peptone and antioxidants.

2. The cell culture media of claim 1 , comprising the following components: basal media, recombinant albumin, glutamine, transferrin, insulin and/or IGF.

3. The cell culture media of claim 1 or 2, wherein the transferrin is present in an amount of 0.001-1000 mg/L.

4. The cell culture media of claim 1 comprising the following components: basal media, recombinant albumin, glutamine, ethanolamine, insulin and/or IGF.

5. The cell culture media of claim 1 , 2 or 4, wherein the insulin is present in an amount of 0.01-1000 mg/L.

6. The cell culture media of claim 1 , comprising the following components: basal media, recombinant albumin, glutamine and ethanolamine.

7. The cell culture media of claim 1 , 2, 4 or 6, wherein the glutamine is present in an amount of 0.01 -1000 mg/L.

8. The cell culture media of claim 1 , 4 or 6, wherein the ethanolamine is present in an amount of 0.01-1000 mg/L.

9. The cell culture media of claim 1 , comprising the following components: basal media, recombinant albumin, ethanolamine, insulin and/or IGF.

10. A method to culture cells comprising incubating the cells in a culture media consisting essentially of the following components: basal media, 0.0001-10% recombinant albumin, and one or more components selected from the group consisting of; glutamine, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine, fetuin, vitamins, lipoprotein, fatty acids, amino acids, sodium selenite, peptone and antioxidants.

1 1. A method to culture cells comprising incubating the cells in a culture media comprising the following components: basal media, sodium selenite, recombinant albumin, insulin, transferrin, peptone, fetuin, and vitamin E.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the cells produce a peptide.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the peptide is an antibody.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein the peptide is an immunoglobulin.

15. The method of claim 12, wherein the peptide is a blood clotting factor.

16. The method of claim 10, wherein the cells are hybridoma cells.

17. The method of claim 11 , wherein the cells are cancer cells.

18. The method of claim 1 1 , wherein the cells are in suspension.

19. The method of claim 1 1 , wherein the cells are adherent.

20. The method of claim 1 1 , wherein the cells are selected from the group consisting of K562 cells, HL-60 cells, Daudi cells, HeLA cells, THP-1 cells, Jurkat cells, CHO, BHK, HEK 293, Vero, MDCK, fibroblast, A431 , Sp2/0, GS-NSO, NSO and EL4 cells.

21. The method of claim 10, wherein the cells are human cells.

22. A method for culturing hybridoma cells in vitro comprising incubating the cells in a cell culture media comprising the following components: basal media, 0.0001-10% recombinant albumin, and one or more components selected from the group consisting of: glutamine, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine, fetuin, vitamins, lipoprotein, fatty acids, amino acids, sodium selenite, peptone and antioxidants.

23. A cell culture media consisting essentially of the following components: basal media, 0.0001-10% recombinant albumin, and one or more components selected from the group consisting of: glutamine, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine, fetuin, vitamins, lipoprotein, fatty acids, amino acids, sodium selenite, peptone and antioxidants.
