Claims

1. A device for producing a glass rod, particularly a glass tube, comprising the following features:
1.1 a Danner blowpipe ( 1);
1.2 a nozzle for introducing a glass stream onto the jacket surface of the Danner blowpipe ( 1), on one end of which (supply end), there is a relatively high temperature for purposes of forming a glass film, while on the other end (discharge end), the glass film is taken up in “bulb” form at relatively low speed;
1.3 The Danner blowpipe ( 1) is constructed as follows:
1.3.1 Its peripheral wall is made of an outer metal jacket ( 2) as well as a ceramic body ( 3) which is surrounded by this jacket;
1.3.2 A clamping plate ( 6. 1, 6. 2) is provided at each end, at the supply end and at the discharge end;
1.3.3 The clamping plate ( 6. 2) on the discharge side is rigidly joined with shaft ( 6);
1.3.4 The clamping plate ( 6. 1) on the supply side is joined in axially displaceable manner on shaft ( 6);
1.3.5 The supply-side end of shaft ( 6) is rigidly joined with a pressure plate ( 4) against displacement in the axial direction;
1.3.6 A pressure spring ( 7), which attempts to press the pressure plate ( 4) and the supply-side clamping plate ( 6. 1) away from one another, is connected between the pressure plate ( 4) and the supply-side clamping plate ( 6. 1);
1.3.7 The clamping plate ( 6. 2) on the discharge side engages on the discharge-side end of jacket ( 2).
2. The device according to claim 1, further characterized in that the metal jacket ( 2) has a collar ( 2. 1) at its discharge-side end, against which the discharge-side clamping plate ( 6. 2) is supported.
3. The device according to claim 1 or 2, further characterized in that the metal jacket ( 2) is conical and that the larger end of the cone is the supply end, and the smaller end of the cone is the discharge end.
4. The device according to one of claims 1 to 3, further characterized in that the Danner blowpipe ( 1) is inclined at an angle to the horizontal plane.
