CLAIMS

What is claimed is:

1. A method (200) implemented at a network node, comprising:

determining (202) at least one channel measurement configuration for a terminal device; and

transmitting (204) the at least one channel measurement configuration to the terminal device;

wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the channel is a bandwidth segment of a neighboring cell of the terminal device, or the channel is a bandwidth segment of a carrier.

3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the channel measurement configuration is transmitted via Radio Resource Control, RRC, signaling.

4. The method according to any of claims 1-3, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises at least one of: measurement object, reporting configuration, measurement identity, quantity configuration, and measurement gap.

5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the measurement object comprises at least one of: frequency or time location, subcarrier spacing of reference signal to be measured, and single carrier frequency.

6. The method according to claim 5, wherein the frequency or time location comprises channel frequency and/or channel frequency offset.

7. The method according to any of claims 1-6, wherein the at least one channel measurement configuration is associated with a list of channels of a carrier or a cell, the at least one channel measurement configuration comprises multiple measurement objects, and each of measurement object is associated with an channel.

8. The method according to any of claims 1-7, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises at least one of: a channel measurement mode and a full bandwidth measurement mode.

9. The method according to claim 8, further comprising: transmitting a signal indicating the terminal device to switch between the channel measurement mode and the full bandwidth measurement mode.

10. The method according to any of claims 1-9, further comprising:

receiving at least one channel measurement report for the CO measurement result of the at least one channel.

11. The method according to claim 10, wherein the channel measurement report comprises CO measurement result of one channel, average CO measurement result of all configured channels of a cell or carrier, and/or respective CO measurement result of all configured channels of a cell or carrier.

12. The method according to claim 10 or 11, further comprising:

determining a trigger criteria for a handover or update Radio Resource Management, RRM, configuration for the terminal device based on the received at least one channel measurement report.

The method according to claim 12, wherein the handover comprises conditional handover, CHO, and the trigger criteria for the handover comprises at least one of: Reference Signal Receiving Power, RSRP, Reference Signal Receiving Quality, RSRQ, Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio, SINR, and CO measurement result.

14. The method according to claim 10 or 11, wherein the channel measurement report is received in one of the following ways: a periodical way, an event triggered way, and a configured triggering condition way.

15. An apparatus (400) implemented in a network node, comprising:

one or more processors (401); and

one or more memories (402) comprising computer program codes (403), the one or more memories (402) and the computer program codes (403) configured to, with the one or more processors (401), cause the apparatus (400) at least to:

determine (202) at least one channel measurement configuration for a terminal device; and

transmit (204) the at least one channel measurement configuration to the terminal device;

wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel.

16. The apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the one or more memories and the computer program codes are configured to, with the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to perform the method according to any one of claims 2-14.

17. A method (300) implemented at a terminal device, comprising:

receiving (302) at least one channel measurement configuration from a network node, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel; and performing (304) CO measurement for the channel according to the channel measurement configuration.

18. The method according to claim 17, further comprising:

obtaining at least one channel measurement result.

19. The method according to claim 17 or 18, further comprising:

determining whether to trigger a channel measurement report.

20. The method according to any of claims 17-19, further comprising:

transmitting at least one channel measurement report for the CO measurement result of the at least one channel.

21. The method according to any of claims 17-20, wherein the channel is a bandwidth segment of a neighboring cell of the terminal device, or the channel is a bandwidth segment of a carrier.

22. The method according to any of claims 17-21, wherein the channel measurement configuration is received via Radio Resource Control, RRC, signaling.

23. The method according to any of claims 17-22, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises at least one of: measurement object, reporting configuration, measurement identity, quantity configuration, and measurement gap.

24. The method according to claim 23, wherein the measurement object comprises at least one of: frequency or time location, subcarrier spacing of reference signal to be measured, and single carrier frequency.

25. The method according to claim 24, wherein the frequency or time location comprises channel frequency and/or channel frequency offset.

26. The method according to any of claims 17-25, wherein the at least one channel measurement configuration is associated with a list of channels of a carrier or a cell, the at least one channel measurement configuration comprises multiple measurement objects, and each of measurement object is associated with an channel.

27. The method according to any of claims 17-26, wherein the performing (304) further comprises:

performing CO measurement for all configured channels when the terminal device received an channel list; or

performing CO measurement for channels where the Synchronization Signal Block, SSB, is located.

28. The method according to claim 19 or 20, wherein the channel measurement report comprises CO measurement result of one channel, average CO measurement result of all configured channels of a cell or carrier, and/or respective CO measurement result of all configured channels of a cell or carrier.

29. The method according to any of claims 19-28, wherein the channel measurement report is transmitted in one of the following ways: a periodical way, an event triggered way, and a configured triggering condition way.

30. The method according to any of claims 17-29, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises at least one of: a channel measurement mode and a full

bandwidth measurement mode.

31. The method according to any of claims 17-30, further comprising: receiving a signal indicating the terminal device to switch between the channel measurement mode and the full bandwidth measurement mode.

32. The method according to claim 31, further comprising: switching between the channel measurement mode and the full bandwidth measurement mode based on at least one of: a service or traffic type of the terminal device, mobility status of the terminal device, and capability and/or battery life of the terminal device.

33. An apparatus (500) implemented in a terminal device, comprising:

one or more processors (501); and

one or more memories (502) comprising computer program codes (503), the one or more memories (502) and the computer program codes (503) configured to, with the one or more processors (501), cause the apparatus (500) at least to:

receive (302) at least one channel measurement configuration from a network node, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel; and perform (304) CO measurement for the channel according to the channel measurement configuration.

34. The apparatus according to claim 33, wherein the one or more memories and the computer program codes are configured to, with the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to perform the method according to any one of claims 18-32.

35. A computer-readable medium having computer program codes (503) embodied

thereon for use with a computer, wherein the computer program codes (503) comprise codes for performing the method according to any one of claims 1-14.

36. A computer-readable medium having computer program codes (503) embodied thereon for use with a computer, wherein the computer program codes (503) comprise codes for performing the method according to any one of claims 17-32.

37. An apparatus (600) implemented in a network node, comprising:

a determining module (601) configured to determine (202) at least one channel measurement configuration for a terminal device; and

a transmitting module (602) configured to transmit (204) the at least one channel measurement configuration to the terminal device;

wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel.

38. An apparatus (700) implemented in a terminal device, comprising:

a receiving module (701) configured to receive (302) at least one channel measurement configuration from a network node, wherein the channel measurement configuration comprises configuring the terminal device to measure a channel occupancy, CO, of at least one channel; and

a performing module (702) configured to perform (304) CO measurement for the channel according to the channel measurement configuration.
