回転電機(3,4)と同期回転することで動力伝達される第一軸(11,13)と第一軸(11,13)の動力が伝達される第二軸(15,16)との間の噛み合いクラッチ(20,30H,30L)にはスリーブ(22,32H,32L)と被係合ギヤ(16d,11d,15d)とが設けられる。制御装置(5)は、クラッチ(20,30H,30L)が断状態での車両走行中に、上記スリーブの回転と上記被係合ギヤの回転とを合わせるように回転電機(3,4)を制御する回転制御部(5A)と、回転制御部(5A)による制御中に上記スリーブを上記被係合ギヤに係合させるよう第一方向に移動させるスリーブ制御部(5B)と、上記スリーブの移動量Dを検出する移動検出部(45a〜45c)と、移動量Dが予め設定された所定量Dp未満である場合に上記スリーブと上記被係合ギヤとが噛み合わずに衝突するギヤブロックが生じたと判定する判定部(5C)と、を備える。
