A drill bit (10) for drilling geophysical exploratory holes using a non-rotating drill approach is disclosed. The bit (10) comprises a tubular body (12) threaded at one end for engagement with a pipe stem. The elements (16a-b) of a divided conical tip (14) are hinged to a second end (20) of the bit body (12). The wall thickness of the bit body (12) gradually increases from the first end (18) to the second end (20) to create, when the divided elements (16a-b) of the tip are closed, a generally diamond-shaped cross section facilitating burrowing when forced in to the soil. An O-ring (36) installed in a groove (34) about the outer circumference of the tip (14) biases divided elements (16a-b) closed until a selected tool is loaded through the interior of the bit body (12), whereupon the divided elements (16a-b) are forced to rotate radially outward. The bit (10) can then be raised and removed from the borehole as desired.

An airbag deployment control apparatus includes a 3-direction accelerometer (10) and a crash-pattern discriminating portion (20) in order to reliably distinguish a slight crash from a serious crash or vice-versa. The 3-direction accelerometer (10) generates deceleration signals of traveling, right-left and upper-lower directions of a vehicle. The deceleration signals generated are inputted to an integrator (16) to be converted into 3-direction velocity change signals. In the crash-pattern discriminating portion (20), crash patterns are discriminated by use of the 3-direction velocity change signals. In an airbag-deployment determining portion (22), the velocity change is compared with a threshold for a crash pattern discriminated and an airbag deploying signal is outputted to an airbag deploying portion (26) when the velocity change exceeds the threshold. The threshold is predetermined classified by crash patterns. In practice, since the delay deployment of the airbag is prevented, it is possible to protect passengers reliably.

This vaccine is characterised in that it also contains the following elements as antigens for an amount of 1 ml: an antigen of the hepatitis B virus (HBsAg) obtained by cultivating transformed cells from the strain S. cerevisiae VKPM Y-2203 in an amount of 5 to 10 μg; a purified diphtheric anatoxin which is rendered harmless in an amount of 10 to 20 Lf; a purified tetanic anatoxin which is rendered harmless in an amount of 5 to 10 EC; formaline-killed pertussis microbes in an amount of 10 to 15 OE; merthiolate in an amount of 0.01 ± 0.002 %; a hydroxide aluminium gel in an amount of 0.6 to 1.2 mg as converted into aluminium; and up to 1.0 ml of a pharmaceutically acceptable solvent. These preparations have a high seroconversion rate due to the mutual promoting action of the components used therein.
