An extrudable material (1), such as a hot melt adhesive, is applied to a substrate (2) with simultaneous irradiation by a laser beam (9). When applied to a gap (17) between two substrate sheets (2), the extrudable material creates a very strong bond. When one of the substrate materials (21) is porous, the extrudable material will penetrate the thickness of the material and contact a lower layer (19) to form a bond. The extrudable material is applied through a nozzle, and the laser beam (9) is directed through the nozzle to be coaxial with the flow path (11) of the extrudable material. The coaxial arrangement facilitates movement of the nozzle and beam in complicated patterns and ensures simultaneous application of the extrudable material (1) and the laser beam (9).

These preparations have a high seroconversion rate due to the mutual promoting action of the components used therein.

The invention relates to the production of catalyzers for converting SO2 into SO3 using worked-out vanadium catalyzers. The aim is to increase the utilisation of the worked-out catalyzer while maintaining its high performance characteristics . To this end the sediment is treated after filtration with an alkali solution with a mole ratio SiO2(K2O+Na2O)-V2O5 of 2.5 to 29.8, with a subsequent co-precipitation of SiO2 and V2O5 with the help of the filtrate or sulphuric acid. V2O5 can be precipitated from the filtrate with the help of the alkali and then used for mixing with the active components. In the degree of extraction of SiO2 is equal to 1.0, the worked-out vanadium catalyzer can be used without being crushed.

The invention relates to the production of high refractory materials, namely to technology for producing multi-component coatings used for multi-level protection of construction linings and separate rapidly wearing devices during burning processes, in metallurgical furnaces, chemical reactors etc. The multilevel erosion and thermal protection of a thermal unit is ensured by forming a coating on the surface thereof containing three multicomponent and functionally different layers. Each layer is based on initial materials which are capable of initiating an exothermic reaction and the SHS process. Special modifying agents are added to each layer. Modifying oxide agents are added to the second layer, and highly dispersed modifying agents made of refractory oxide materials and non-acid compositions are added to the third layer. Said refractory oxide materials and non-acid compositions are used separately or in combination thereof. Each layer is applied in several operations, the impregnation being multiply repeated with the aid of high-pressure devices and/or at an increased positive pressure. When the multilayer and multicomponent coating is dried, a low-temperature roasting is carried out, and an inert or reducing medium is introduced prior to the SHS process. The inventive multilayer and multicomponent coatings significantly increase the operating life of refractory materials and improve the operational and thermophysical characteristics under the effect of chemically active corrosive and aggressive media.
